WPKG is an open source software developer and what not. It's Windows based software.
When I click ZeroHedge or Guardian's website, both sites suddenly change to this:
I don't run Windows on my puter, and I'm not really sure how I 'inherited' this. It's a new thing, appeared first time few days ago.
I would like to know if anybody knows, how to block, delete or prevent that website to open, when I want to read something else.
I'm thinking, it might be website associated with Great Internet Wall, however site doesn't open when I click Reuters, which is under block for several weeks.
It looks, it's gone! The Wpkg. They are happy at 'ZeroHedge', because we complained.
Although this has been intermittent for the past day or two for me, I think it has something to do with pages that have a Facebook Connect button being redirected to that site. I also had it redirect to http://www.ptraveler.com a couple of times.
My guess is some IT genius "fixed" something....that is the usual reason for this sort of thing. It will get sorted soon enough or you can just add the sites it redirects to to your ad-blocking software.
It is the "new" Great Cannon of China - which is far more subtle than the GFW. In fact, it's a downright nuisance considering it's a bunch of pimply-faced party boys in BJ having a little fun at the expense of the rest of the world.
If you can access Reddit, check out the link below. It will answer all your questions about the redirects:

Oh wow I thought my phone had a virus and I was going to do a factory reset to remove it! I have been redirected to this site several times when surfing the web. Not just news sites - I was trying to read about last night's New York Yankees game and kept getting redirected to that crap. If this is something new with the firewall that's truly messed up. I was reading about home runs, not politics!
